Campo Santo Stefano
Surrounded by magnificent palaces and animated by its many bars and restaurants, Campo Santo Stefano is one of the city's largest and most vibrant districts. Located along the route between the Accademia Bridge and St. Mark's Square, it is very popular both in summer and winter: especially at Christmas, when the area hosts its the charming Christmas market, and the indoor fair set up for the Carnival season.
San Samuele
The San Samuele quarter is bustling with art galleries, artisanal crafts shops and major exhibition venues, mostly with a vocation for contemporary art; in addition to Palazzo Grassi and its newly designed Teatrino, renovated by the Pinault Foundation, during the Bienniale visitors can marvel at the outdoor national pavilions set up in a very special context.

The crafts shops and art galleries near Ca' Mariele are a great opportunity to purchase artistic jewellery, handmade products and contemporary works of art, while Calle Larga XXII Marzo, a veritable paradise for lovers of luxury shopping, is just a 5 minute walk away: from Louis Vuitton to Hermes, Prada, Bulgari, Ferragamo... the most prominent international brands are all here.

From the Airport
From Venice Marco Polo Airport: from the marina, take the orange line of Alilaguna service, get off at the S. Angelo stop and follow the directions "From the S. Angelo Stop".
From Treviso Canova Airport: take the ATVO bus to “Venice - Piazzale Roma” or the Barzi Bus Service to "Venice - Tronchetto" and the People mover to Piazzale Roma. From here, follow the directions "From Piazzale Roma / Station".
From Piazzale Roma / Station
If you arrive by car to Piazzale Roma or by train to Santa Lucia train station, take the ACTV waterbus n. 1 towards "San Marco", get off at the S. Angelo stop and follow the directions "From the S. Angelo stop".
From the S. Angelo stop
When you get off the waterbus, take the street (calle) in front of you and follow it to the end, turn left and then take the first street on the right. Once you reach the canal, go right and cross the bridge that takes to Calle del Pestrin. After 100 metres, you'll find the apartments on the left, at number 3523.
Suites alla Maddalena
The Maddalena Suites overlook Rio della Maddalena and its eponymous square, next to the church, located along the route that leads from Santa Lucia train station to the Rialto Bridge.
This is one of the first typically Venetian scenes you will encounter after a 10-minute walk arriving from the train station.

A convenient location for visitors arriving by car or by train: reachable in just 10 minutes on foot from the train station and 15 minutes from Piazzale Roma. Those who prefer to use the vaporetto service can take the line 1 and get off at San Marcuola (5 minutes, with only one bridge along the route), or the Ca' d'Oro stop (5 minutes, with two bridges).
The surroundings
From Campo della Maddalena, the Jewish Ghetto, Ca' d'Oro and the Venice Casino are just a few minutes walk, whereas the center of Venice, Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square are only roughly 10 minutes away. The Rialto quarter provides a wonderful shopping experience, namely the Mercerie shops and the newly inaugurated Fondaco dei Tedeschi boutiques.
Bacari
Along Strada Nova, which leads from Campo della Maddalena to the Rialto, you'll find restaurants, shops, supermarkets and above all typical bacari, at which to stop and taste the "cicchetti " with a glass of wine. Just 5 minutes away, a visit to the Fondamenta dei Ormesini is well worth your while, animated by its many local restaurants, ideal for an aperitif or dinner, often accompanied by live music on certain evenings.

From the Airport
From Venice Marco Polo Airport: from the marina, take the orange line of Alilaguna service and get off at the Guglie stop. Go to the Guglie Bridge and turn left in Rio Terà San Leonardo. Continue for 500 metres to Campo della Maddalena, on the right, and cross the private bridge at number 2205. Alternatively, take the AeroBus to Piazzale Roma and follow the directions "From Piazzale Roma".

From Piazzale Roma
Park in one of the parkings of Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto. Cross the Calatrava bridge, continue for about 1.2 km to Campo della Maddalena, on the right, and cross the private bridge at number 2205. Alternatively, take the waterbus n. 1 towards Lido S.M.E. and get off at the Ca' d'oro stop.

Leaving the Santa Lucia Station, turn left and continue for 1.2 km to Campo della Maddalena, on the right, and cross the private bridge at number 2205. Alternatively, take the waterbus n. 1 towards Lido S.M.E. and get off at the Ca' d'oro stop.
From the Ca' d'oro stop
Get off the vaporetto, walk along Calle Ca' d'oro and reach Strada Nova, turn left and go straight on towards the Station / Piazzale Roma. Immediately after the third bridge, turn left into Campo della Maddalena and cross the private bridge at number 2205.
